In winter, Pozza di Fassa is one of the most attractive and well-equipped ski destinations in Val di Fassa, hosting European Cup races and other competitive events. Thanks to its prime location, Chalet Alaska provides easy access to two ski areas with the Alloch Skistadium on opposite sides of the valley:

Ciampedie – Catinaccio Ski Area:Accessible from Vigo and Pera, it offers 14 km of slopes and a family-friendly area with a Kinderpark, ski school, and six mountain huts.
Buffaure Ski Area:Accessed directly from Pozza via a cable car, it features 16 km of mostly red slopes, including the 6 km “Panoramica” and the legendary black “Vulcano” slope. Two chairlifts connect it to the Ciampac area,forming a single ski carousel with 18 slopes spanning 31 km and served by 13 lifts. This area is part of the Panorama skitour, connected to the Sellaronda.

In the nearby hamlet of Meida you will find the “Alloch Skistadium“, two breathtaking slopes (one black, the other red) lit by day for skiing at night which also host the training sessions of the Italian alpine ski team.

Freestyle riders will love the Buffaure Snowpark, equipped to cater to all skill levels. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can enjoy a small, easy circuit at the edge of the village or spend an entire day skiing from Pozza to Canazei, starting directly from Chalet Alaska.

But there’s more. One of the highlights of your snow holiday at Alaska is having a ski instructor right at the hotel. Christine is always ready to offer valuable tips to make the most of the slopes and enjoy skiing with total peace of mind.
